Introduction of Tea

It is believed that the best green tea is produced during the first harvest of the year, which falls in early April to mid-May.

Tea is a beverage derived from the leaves of a plant called Camellia Synesis. There are different varieties of the plant – spread through out the world in various countries but all beverages called ‘tea’ specifically come from that one main plant.

The oldest Camellia Synesis tea plant is in China. It’s thought to be 3,200 years old.
