Hi and thanks for taking a look at these electric wrap around blankets.  The cost of our energy bills are going crazy, so were all looking to save where we can. These blankets are great.  In fact if you look through the photos youll see my old Mum wrapped up in a grey one.  Shes 80, suffers from Alzheimers and emphysema but shes as warm as toast with the blanket.  Its a Godsend for her.

The cost to run them is said to be around 4p per day.  I left this one on for a full 24 hours and I can honestly say I couldnt notice a discernible increase in power consumption, they are not running for free of course but they are definitely cheap, and a hell of a lot cheaper than running radiators or a gas/electric fire.  

Let me give you some details:

NEW.  Brand spanking, out of the box.

WASHABLE.  You unplug the cable from the blanket and simply put it in the washing machine.  Dont put it on a 3 hour boil wash, but a 40 degrees short cycle will be fine, and air dry it, dont put it in the tumble dryer.  Just make sure its properly dry before you plug it back in.

COMFORTABLE. Its really soft to the touch, its a pleasure to have it next to your skin.  

HEAT SETTINGS. There are 6 heat setting, and it warms up really quickly. When you get back in your house freezing cold, you can put it on full blast but it wont be long before youre turning it down.  There are three buttons on the hand control, a slide up or down button for on/off, a press button for the heat setting which goes from 1 to 6 then back to 1 again, 6 being the warmest down to 1 which is the lowest setting but you can still feel it.

TIMER.  The third button is a timer, from what I can see the timer is always active, it will always turn itself off but you have the choice of, off after 1 hour, press the button again and its off after 2 hours and so on up to 8 hours and the little display shows you how may hours until it goes off, so pretty fool proof and good if you dash out of the house having forgotten to turn it off!

There is no set up, its really simple, take it out of the box and plug it in and get warm....thats it!
